Horse Nose Feed Bag

Horse Nose Feed Bag

Have you ever tried using a nose bag or feed bag on your horse? There are some great reasons to do so. Saving money is one of the benefits of feeding your horse in a nose feed bag. There is no waste at all. Your horse eats exactly the measured amount that you put in the feed bag.

A horse feed nose bag is excellent for horses that wind-suck or crib bite when having hard feed. As long as the bag has food in it the horse will focus only on the food and not on biting the rails of its yard or stable. The nose feed bag will work well for horses that tend only to bite and suck when waiting or during the eating of their hay and chaff or other horse feed. Those horses tend not to wind suck or crib bite when out in the paddock. Even for horses that are permanently wearing a collar can benefit by the release of the collar during meals by putting on a nose feed bag. Be aware to move your horse back to the paddock when the bag is empty as some will bite and suck the rails when the bag is empty. This could damage the bag.

This horse nose feed bag is hand made by a saddler. The canvas is waterproof and strong. The strap is easily adjustable and easy to lengthen to fit over the horse's ears then tighten or loosen.

The bag has holes around the bottom. The nose bag holes are so that if the horse puts its nose into a water trough the bag can release the water. The holes are positioned so they are below the nostrils. Many horses have drowned from their lose bag getting water in it sadly. This is a safety feature so your horse can never drown from its nosebag filling up with water.
