To whom it may concern,
Animal Welfare League Qld have been caring for the abandoned animals of South East Queensland for over 52 years and have found homes for over 100,000 animals during this time.
Unfortunately, the economic downturn has now hit AWL really hard, with less animals being adopted and a dramatic decrease in donations. Sadly, though, the number of animals needing their care continues to increase.
AWL has struggled in the past year to continue their work and now desperately need your help to save the shelter.
AWLQ receives no government funding and cannot continue to save lives without financial support so Brisbane Pet Headquarters, an adoption centre for AWLQ, is hosting a Fundraising Fair that we would very much love you to attend.
The Fundraising Fair is scheduled for Saturday 10th September 10am til 2pm at Brisbane Pet Headquarters.
We know times are tough so it will cost you nothing to attend but all we ask is that you do some sort of 'Fair' game or provide a service to help us raise these much needed funds.
Some ideas for fundraising:
- Ring toss (you could use bracelets that people have to get over the top of a wine bottle)
- Guess the number of lollies in the jar or guess the weight of something
- Lucky dip
- Microchipping
- Health check
- Toenail clipping
- Lucky number draw
- Cent auction
- Raffle
- Cake/sweet stall
- Amount per sale of product donated
AWL Qld need your help now more than ever and this is a great way to get out there and be seen.
