Sydney’s most popular family Expo is on again full of great attractions and non-stop entertainment to delight Expo visitors. This year’s Expo promises to be the biggest and best ever with over 150 exhibitors taking part and a huge variety of pets and animals to see. It’s a great fun day out that’s sure to please every member of the family.

The Expo’s home at ROSEHILL GARDENS RACECOURSE offers excellent facilities and easy access with AMPLE FREE PARKING FOR ALL.

The Expo will feature hundreds of products and services for the better care of pets and animals as well as providing visitors with an opportunity to interact with animals of all kinds – all in a fun-filled and relaxed environment.

Special features, attractions, entertainment and demonstrations will amaze Expo visitors.

THE SYDNEY PET AND ANIMAL EXPO IS DESIGNED TO BE A CELEBRATION OF PETS AND ANIMALS AND THE POSITIVE ROLE THEY PLAY IN SOCIETY.

PET FOOD MANUFACTURERS, HEALTHCARE COMPANIES, RETAILERS, VETS, PET MINDING SERVICES, PRODUCT AND ACCESSORY SUPPLIERS, NATURAL THERAPISTS, TRAINERS and GROOMERS, ANIMAL ART and PHOTOGRAPHY, TOY SUPPLIERS, PUBLISHERS, DOG, CAT, BIRD, and WILDLIFE EXPERTS and more WILL ALL BE INVOLVED IN THIS MASSIVE EXPO.

THE STAGE ENTERTAINMENT sponsored by WOOLWORTHS will run non-stop over the three days of the Expo. TRAIN YOUR PET TO BE A STAR is a daily feature attraction presented by FEATHERED FRIENDS and there will be LIVE REPTILE SHOWS by REPTILES GALORE. Famous vet, DR KATRINA WARREN on behalf of ADICELL will be on stage twice daily with informative and fun filled shows for all dog lovers. THE WALLY WAGALOT SHOW by K9 PRODUCTIONS will be there thrilling audiences with their entertaining dog awareness performances. Special daily presentations, “CHOOSING THE RIGHT DOG” by DOGS NSW are a must for anyone considering owning a dog. And for cat lovers there will be twice daily CAT and KITTEN Shows presented by WARATAH CAT ALLIANCE.

A huge attraction at this year’s Expo will be THE DOG DEMONSTRATION ARENA sponsored by ADICELL which will feature a schedule of non-stop and action-packed performances. FLYBALL PERFORMANCES will be loads of fun with dogs of all shapes and sizes competing. The DOGS NSW K9 SPECTACULAR is a new Arena event, showcasing the many activities you can do with your canine companion. DANCES WITH DOGS will be on again and visitors can also see THE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG OBEDIENCE TEAM. DR KATRINA WARREN will be in the Arena each day with her fabulous “DOG TRICKS AND FUN” Show.

Responsible dog ownership is an important issue and visitors will learn more about this in the “PUPPY IS FOR LIFE” presentations. One of the highlights will certainly be THE SPECTACULAR PAGEANT OF INTERNATIONAL DOG BREEDS presented by Dogs NSW and featuring dogs and owners dressed in national costumes of the different countries from which the various breeds originated. This great attraction will involve dogs belonging to the TOY, TERRIER, HOUND, GUNDOG, WORKING DOG, UTILITY and NON-SPORTING GROUPS. In addition a small scale DOG SHOW called “REAL BEST IN SHOW” will be held each day and a SPECIAL JUNIOR HANDLERS EXHIBIT will show the younger generation how to handle their dogs.

THE BIGGEST DOG BREED SHOWCASE EVER SEEN IN AUSTRALIA !! OVER 60 DIFFERENT BREEDS. The DOGS NSW  DOG BREED SHOWCASE will feature an amazing variety of purebred dogs.

There will be special DEMONSTRATIONS OF PARTICULAR BREEDS showing their respective attributes and breeders will be readily available to provide expert canine advice to potential dog owners. There will also be information regarding each breed’s strengths and weaknesses and the SUITABILITY OF A PARTICULAR BREED TO MATCH POTENTIAL OWNERS LIFESTYLES.

Affenpinscher, Alaskan Malamute, American Cocker Spaniel, American Staffordshire, Australian Koolie, Australian Shepherd, Australian Terrier, Bedlington Terrier, Border Collie, Boxer, Cairn Terrier, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chihuahua, Clumber Spaniel, Cocker Spaniel, Collie (Rough & Smooth), Dachshund, Dalmatian, Dobermann, English Springer Spaniel, Field Spaniel, French Bulldog, German Shepherd, Griffon Bruxellois, Hungarian Vizsla, Irish Water Spaniel, Irish Wolfhound, Japanese Chin, King Charles Spaniel, Labrador Retriever, Lagotto Romagnolo, Leonberger, Manchester Terrier, Norwegian Elkhound, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Pekingese, Poodle (Toy, Miniature), Pug, Rottweiler, Samoyed, Schipperke, Schnauzer (Miniature, Schnauzer, Giant), Siberian Husky, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Tibetan Spaniel, Weimaraner, West Highland White Terrier, White Swiss Shepherd Dog and more ….

THE DOG BREED SHOWCASE WILL DEFINITELY BE ONE OF THE BIGGEST HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS YEAR’S EXPO.

For those interested in BIRDS the Expo will provide a fantastic array of cockatiels, ringnecks, eclectus, lorikeets, budgies, conures, galahs, corellas, parrots and more. THE BIRD SHOWCASE will be full of colour and sound and expert advice on all avian matters will be readily available.

A special AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE DISPLAY  presented by FEATHERED CFRIENDS TRAINING CENTRE will be a great attraction at this year’s Expo. This large scale feature will be fully landscaped complete with bushrock and flowing waterfalls. A range of Australian wildlife and trained parrots will be on display and there will be special talks that will explain the facts about wildlife and birds. Visitors will be able to go behind the scenes to see how animals are trained to be the stars in TV and movies scenes.  The world famous performing cockatoo tirrike will be included in this fabulous feature. There will also be a HUGE REPTILE DISPLAY PRESENTED BY REPTILE S GALORE including alligators, boa constrictors, turtles, pythons, blue tongues and bearded dragons.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP CAT AND KITTEN SHOWS WILL FEATURE HUNDREDS OF PEDIGREED CATS AND KITTENS OF MANY KINDS. Australian and overseas judges will decide the supreme exhibits. This will be a GREAT ATTRACTION FOR ALL FELINE LOVERS, BREEDERS and ENTHUSIASTS. Visitors can talk to cat breeders and gain an insight into each breeds’ specific features and temperament to further the cause of responsible cat ownership.

Breeds on show include:
Persian, Rag Doll, Birmans, Abyssinian, British Shorthair, Burmese, Burmilla, Devon Rex, Cornish Rex, Russian Blue, Scottish Fold, Scottish Shorthair, Australian Mist, Siamese, Oriental and Balinese.

There will be a showing of particularly RARE BREEDS including Bombay, Norwegian Forest Cat, Main Coon, Bengal, Australian Tiffine, Sphynx (the hairless cat), Munchkin, La Perm, Egyptian Mau, Skookum and the smallest of all cats The Singapura.

There will be a special display of FERRETS by the NSW Ferret Welfare Society. Did you know that ferrets are domesticated animals and are cousins of the weasels, skunk and otters?  Learn more about having ferrets as pets at the Expo. And don’t miss a host of soft and furry rabbits coming along courtesy of THE RABBIT FANCIER SOCIETY.

THE FAMILY FARMYARD NURSERY at this year’s Expo will contain over 300 ANIMALS!   Kids will love it as they will be able to pat and feed all their favourite farmyard animals - CHICKS, PIGLETS, SHEEP and BABY LAMBS, DEER, RABBITS, GOATS and BABY KIDS and GUINEA PIGS. There’ll be two specially landscaped DUCK PONDS, A GOAT HOUSE, A HEN HOUSE as well as an INCUBATOR WITH OVER 200 EGGS set to hatch chicks over the duration of the Expo in full view of visitors.

There will be lots of other things for kids to do including plaster painting, face painting and arts and crafts activities (fee may apply).

LOTS OF PET PRODUCTS AND SERVICES FOR SALE !!

A huge range of NEW PET FOODS including special premium and improved nutrition varieties will be displayed. There will also be a big selection of HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS including the latest FLEA and TICK control products, worming and
heartworm treatments as well as COLLARS, LEADS, TAGS, ENCLOSURES, BOWLS, KENNELS, BEDS, FASHION and GIFTWARES, GROOMING PRODUCTS, PET DOORS, KITTY LITTER, SHAMPOOS AND RINSES, PET ACCOMMODATION, PET MINDING SERVICES, MOBILE DOG WASH SERVICES, AVIARIES, EDUCATIONAL COURSES, PET PORTRAITS and every imaginable PET ACCESSORY - TOYS and TREATS for pets will also be displayed.

Pet Lovers will be able to speak to experts with a wealth of experience, knowledge and practical advice on selecting, housing, feeding and maintaining a healthy happy pet.

THIS YEAR FOR THE FIRST TIME THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL VET ADVICE AND RETAIL CENTRE WHERE PEOPLE CAN GET ALL THE PET CARE ADVICE THEY NEED.

SPECIAL SHOWS FOR KIDS, ANIMAL CHARACTERS, CAMEL RIDES and NOVELTY AMUSEMENT RIDES (extra fee) will add even further to the enormous fun of this year’s Expo.

THIS WILL BE THE BIGGEST PET AND ANIMAL EXPO EVER HELD IN AUSTRALIA. It contains a fantastic variety of ANIMALS PERFORMING AT THEIR VERY BEST WITH CONTINUOUS FUN AND EXCITING ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT – FOR ALL THE FAMILY.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS TO THE EXPO !!

Visitors are kindly requested not to bring their own pets to the expo and are warned not to touch the animals on display without the consent of exhibitors. The SALE OF PETS AT the expo is not permitted.
