Major business development project for South Grafton opening Monday 15 March 2010

Riverbank Animal Hospital

Major business development project for South Grafton opening Monday 15 March 2010

6 March 2010

Congratulations to Chris Gough and Associates on the opening of their new state of the art veterinary hospital in South Grafton in the Clarence Valley NSW.

Back ground information

Chris and Amanda Gough purchased South Grafton Veterinary Clinic in September 2005, since then the business has gone from strength to strength and it soon became apparent that the current premises were too small and outdated. A vacant 800 square metre building on the corner of Through and Wharf streets, South Grafton was purchased in February 2008. Since then a major development and building project has been undertaken to transform the building into a state of the art veterinary hospital to provide for the pet care needs of the whole of The Clarence Valley. See photos of Riverbank Animal Hospital South Grafton Vet Opening Day!

Local contractors, architect and tradesmen have been used for the project with a total investment for South Grafton of approximately one million dollars. The new facility has also been given a new name; Riverbank Animal Hospital. Three new staff members have already been recruited for the opening of the facility with further positions likely to become available later in the year.

New services include in house groomer, hydrobath, and we hope to attract regular visiting specialists from Brisbane and Sydney. We have been told that Riverbank Animal Hospital will be the largest veterinary facility (by square metre) located outside of a capital city in Australia.

We are very excited that the Mayor of Grafton Richie Williamson will officially open the new facility at 10.30am on Monday 15th March and we would love for you to come along to celebrate this special moment with us.

South Grafton Veterinary Clinic will be open as usual until 12 noon on Saturday 13 March at 79 Through Street. The after hours emergency service will operate as normal during the transition to the new hospital at 60 Through Street, phone numbers remain the same; 6642 3083 or 6643 1700. Riverbank Animal Hospital is the new name for South Grafton Veterinary Clinic.
