Your best mate deserves a dignified farewell

Pets become part of our family - they are loyal companions and love us unconditionally.

Aussie Crates understands that the loss of a pet is an emotional experience, and that in most cases the traditional burial in the backyard is no longer considered to be the ideal farewell.

Aussie Crates, based in Welshpool, WA, has launched a range of Pet Caskets to help you provide your pet with the dignified farewell they deserve - catering for tiny pets, such as rabbits, guinea pigs and budgies, to large dog breeds.

Aussie Crates Pure Pine Pet Caskets

    Available in three sizes:
  • Small - 400 mm long x 250 mm wide x 200 mm high
  • Medium - 630 mm long x 400 mm wide x 250 mm high
  • Large - 850 mm long x 500 mm wide x 300mm high

We are also a distributor of Loyal Companion Pet Caskets, a flat-packed range that is available in five sizes. Constructed from white biodegradable cardboard with taffeta lining, these caskets are suitable for cremation or burial.

Allow us to help you farewell your pet in a manner that reflects what they meant to you.

*** We also manufacture custom timber crates***

The History of Pet Burial

Pets have always been special in people’s lives and over the millennia have been memorialised in many ways by rich and poor folk right from back in Ancient Egypt when the rich mummified and buried cats that were believed to be gods. The Ancient Romans set aside large tracts of land and erected large stone monuments for pets. Alexander the Great treated his pets this way on their passing.

Some countries allow pets to be interred next to their humans such as in a special site in the village of Stainton by Langworth in England which is a natural or ‘green’ burial site where the coffins are biodegradable. Pet cemeteries have thus existed over time until our modern day ones that you will now find around Australia. Some people also still bury their pets in their own gardens but more and more they are seeking a dignified coffin for them, as a fitting gift to their pets for the love they have shown to their owners and the joy they have shared.

Modern day pet lovers often add a cyberspace memorial for their pet online when it crosses the Rainbow Bridge.
