About
Surilox Alpacas
**** At Surilox we specialise in the breeding of the rare Suri Alpaca. **** **** Why Suri Alpacas? **** Suris make up less than 10% of the world's population of Alpacas. They have fleece that hangs in long lustrous locks, rather than being crimped like the fleece of the Huacaya alpaca. Suri Fleece is used for fine lace, that can be finer than pashmina, and also for light-weight suiting and coat material. Surilox has moved to the historic Nardoo in the Myall Lakes / Coolongolook area and now offer first-class agistment as well as day and weekend alpaca training courses introducing people and alpacas! Situated on the drought-free Mid North Coast of NSW, between the Coolongolook River and the Bachelor State Forest, Nardoo is the home of local bush food and alpacas. Farm visits are welcome by appointment.
