Blacktown City Council's Animal Holding Facility Pet Festival

Blacktown City Council's Animal Holding Facility will be hosting the annual Pet Festival on Sunday, 30 October, 2011 from 10am - 2pm. Council is inviting the public to come along and enjoy a fun day out with their friends, family and pets!

There is a number of activities happening on the day including free vet checks, up to 2 free microchipped animals per household (Blacktown Residents only), dog obedience demonstrations, RSPCA education programs, a petting farm, face painting, dog washing and grooming, come pat a python, have a chat to a ring tail possum and smile at a big green frog, there will be information and product stalls and much more!

There will be new competitions and giveaways including best animal trick, best dressed animal, and best animal and owner smile (random pic so be ready!) as well as a sausage sizzle (first 100 receive free sausage sizzle). Pet owners are reminded that any dogs brought on the day must be wearing a collar and lead on the day.

The festival will be held at the Animal Holding Facility which is located at 415 Flushcombe Road, Prospect on the corner of the Great Western Highway.
