Dog Off Leash Beaches Byron Bay

Byron Shire Council welcomes people and their well behaved and well controlled dogs into our beautiful area and dog off leash beaches.

Off leash parks offered by Byron Shire Council include areas in Bangalow, Suffolk Park, Brunswick Heads, New Brighton and Mullimbimby; Byron's dog-friendly beaches are at Tallow Beach, Main Beach and South Golden Beach.

Tallow Beach: From a point adjacent to Jarman St Suffolk Park extending in a notherly direction to the boundary of the Arakwal National Park

Main Beach: From a point adjacent to Manfred St Belongil extending to an easterly direction to a point on the western side of Main Beach Car Park and including Cavvanbah Reserve

South Golden Beach: From a point adjacent to Gloria St extending in a northerly direction to the Billinudgel Nature Reserve.

We encourage you to use the dog off leash parks and dog off leash beaches to walk your dogs!

BYRON SHIRE INCLUDES AREAS FROM WOOYUNGTO BROKEN HEAD

BROKEN HEAD | BYRON BAY | EWINGSDALE | MYOCUM | SKINNERS SHOOT | SUFFOLK PARK | TALOFA | TYAGARAH

Bangalow: Part of the Community Land at Ashton St. The area bounded by Deacon St, Ashton St and Byron Creek (Restrictions: Companion animals are prohibited from the are in or within 10 metres of the children's play equipment)

Suffolk Park: Public Reserve, Beech Drive

Brunswick Heads: Access from a point 20 metres south of the Brunswick Head Surf Club extending in a southerly direction for 400 metres to the boundary of Tygarah Nature Reserve.  (Restrictions: Intertidal zone only. Access from adjacent to the Brunswick Heads Surf Club only)

New Brighton: From a point adjacent to Strand Ave extending in a southerly direction to a point 500 metres north of the northern break wall of the Brunswick River. (Restriction: Inertidal zone only)

Mullumbimby: Heritage Park, Mill St. From opposite Gordon St. to opposite Stuart St. (Restrictions: Companion animals are prohibited from the are in or within 10 metres of the children's play equipment)
